Little Black Dog Farm

Supporting Farming in the Hudson Valley

About Us

Welcome to the Little Black Dog Farm.
At Little Black Dog Farm, Kim, Nelle (our English cocker spaniel!) and Steve support agriculture in the Hudson Valley. We also receive encouragement from Kim’s 92 -year-old mother Pat. We do that through our orchard, our crops and our cattle in ways that respect the land and the animals we raise. We also work with fellow farmers to build a stronger farming community and support organizations like Glynwood Farms.

Our Team

Kim & Steve live fulltime in the Hudson Valley and combine their interest in agriculture with teaching and consulting.
Pat Throm is Kim’s 92-year-old mother who moved from Philadelphia to the Hudson Valley in 2021.
Nelle is an English cocker spaniel that moved to the Hudson Valley from Iowa in 2016. She is The Little Black Dog.
