About Us
Welcome to the Little Black Dog Farm..
Little Black Dog Farm supports food and farming in the Hudson Valley.
We do this through our orchard, our crops and our grass-fed cattle in ways that respect the land and the animals we raise. We also work with fellow farmers to build a stronger farming community and support organizations like the Glynwood Center for Regional Food and Farming.
The Team (Kim, Steve, Pat and Nelle)
We live full-time in the Hudson Valley and combine our interest in agriculture with teaching and consulting.
Over the last 5 years, we benefited from the encouragement and support of Kim’s mother, Pat. Sadly, Pat passed away in February of 2026 at the age of 93.
Pat came to live with us in the Hudson Valley from Philadelphia in 2021. She loved the Hudson Valley, Little Black Dog Farm and most of all her friend Nelle, our English cocker spaniel.
Nelle moved to the Hudson Valley from Iowa in 2016. She is the Little Black Dog.
